About - Yuvraj Singh Posted on 20 May, 2021
Yuvraj Singh (born December 12, 1981) is a former Indian international cricketer who played in all formats. Yuvraj Singh is the son of former Indian fast bowler and Punjabi actor Yograj Singh. He bats left-handed in the middle order and bowls medium left-arm orthodox. Yuvraj was regarded as one of India's greatest limited-overs players, especially for his aggressive stroke play and fielding.
Yuvraj represented India in One Day Internationals (ODIs) between 2000 and 2017, and he made his Test debut in October 2003. Between 2007 and 2008, he was the Indian ODI team's vice-captain. He was named Man of the Tournament in the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup and was a standout performer in the 2007 ICC World T20, both of which India won. In a match against England at the 2007 World T20, he famously hit six sixes in one over bowled by Stuart Broad — a feat accomplished only three times previously in any level of senior cricket, and never in an international match between two Test-playing teams.
In the same game, he set the record for the fastest fifty in Twenty20 Internationals and T20 cricket overall, scoring 50 runs in 12 deliveries. During the 2011 World Cup, he became the first player in World Cup history to take a 5-wicket haul and score a 50.
